Well I knew going in that I wouldn’t be very fast as I’m not in shape for racing yet. I’ve been feeling flabby as my diet over the break and the holidays hasn’t been very good. Got on the scale this morning and was shocked to see 150 (my best racing weight is 143-45). it's pretty normal to be heavy in the off season but certainly racing during that time can be a key dow. However, all and all a good day as I won the race! Time to start eating a little better and enjoy the grind.

Also decided to keep this log going. There's certain features that are still much better than Strava, such as the shoe manager. But more importantly the act of writing a recap on a race or workout here helps me keep in touch with how I'm feeling and progressing.

Hey, I'm glad you're staying. I read your reports every now and then, and I am always impressed with the steadiness in your training.

Congratulations on the win!

Glad you are staying. A discussion on another FRB page recently discussed the health and features of FRB. Not sexy but very friendly and easy interface here.

Thanks for continuing to post, Matt. I've enjoyed reading over the years.

My FRB activity is down overall, but for me the blog indispensable (for many reasons). Very easy to check what you did for a certain week or month or year. I have always thought that Strava could benefit from a race report feature.

Cheers and nice win.
